How do I change the time displayed on the trading platform?

The MT5 platform time is linked to Ultima Markets UK's server, set at GMT+2 and GMT+3 during daylight saving. Users cannot adjust it manually. Server time is visible in the market watch and midnight aligns with New York's 5 PM EST close.

Why the time cannot be changed

MT5 uses trading server time to ensure consistent order execution, pricing, swap calculation, and trading records. Client terminals automatically follow the server time settings.

  • The server time cannot be manually adjusted in MT5.
  • Ultima Markets UK’ trading server operates on GMT+2 and switches to GMT+3 during daylight saving time.
  • Server midnight, 00:00, corresponds to New York market close at 5 PM EST.
