To change the chart type in MetaTrader 5 (MT5) desktop, select the asset from the market watch, right-click and choose "chart window" or drag it to an open chart. Use the chart type icons on the top toolbar or keyboard shortcuts: Alt+1 for bar chart, Alt+2 for candlestick chart, and Alt+3 for line chart. If icons aren't visible, enable charts under View Toolbars.
